Department of Agriculture, Land Use and Management

Welcome to the The Department of Agriculture, Land Use, and Management

Our Department  is dedicated to equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to address agricultural challenges sustainably. At its core, the department focuses on understanding the intricate relationships between agriculture, land use, and management practices to foster agricultural productivity while ensuring environmental conservation and socio-economic development. Through a multidisciplinary approach, our Dept integrates principles from agronomy, soil science, crop science, livestock management, and agricultural economics to train students to become adept problem solvers in the field of agriculture.

It offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of agriculture, including crop production techniques, soil fertility management, livestock husbandry, agribusiness management, and agricultural policy. Through hands-on training, research projects, and fieldwork, students gain practical experience and develop critical thinking abilities to address real-world agricultural issues. Additionally, the department collaborates with local communities, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable agricultural practices and contribute to agricultural development in the region and beyond.
